The company expects to receive compensation for damage

Intel claims to have caught a former employee stealing confidential information related to Xeon processors. Dr. Varun Gupta, who left Intel last year to take over at Microsoft as director of strategic planning for cloud technology and AI, has brought over 3,900 files with him. The stolen files allegedly contain Intel’s pricing, corporate strategies, and manufacturing capabilities for Intel Xeon processors.

Intel accuses former employee of stealing information on Xeon processors.

The charge is based on the opinion of security experts at Intel. They claim that Gupta copied the specified files to several external drives. Gupta himself denies these claims.

The company is counting on $ 75,000 in damages and a commitment not to use confidential information.
