Intel reported for the first quarter of 2023

Intel has published the results of the first quarter of fiscal year 2023. They turned out to be not as  catastrophic as those of Samsung , but still far from positive.

In particular, the company recorded a record loss in its history. Its size amounted to 2.8 billion dollars. For comparison: a year earlier, the operating profit of the company reached 8.1 billion dollars. Moreover, to better understand the situation, you need to know that Intel’s past record loss was $687 million (Q4 2017). 

Intel’s revenue plummeted from $18.35 billion to $11.7 billion, a 36% drop. Almost all major divisions showed a drop in revenue of 24% to 39%. The exception was the Mobileye division, which posted a 16% increase.
