Intel to bundle 12th Gen 65W Core CPUs: Intel’s plans to update the design of boxed cooling systems became known back in September. Along with the 12th Gen 65-watt Core processors, the chipmaker will present a line of Laminar coolers, which can be found in boxes with new CPUs. Today, an image of one of the new products has appeared on the Web.

The Laminar RM1 cooling system will ship with the new Core i7 / i5 / i3 processor lines. Its design is largely inherited from the current boxed Intel coolers, but the aluminum heatsink now covers the decorative fan frame. Not without a ring with LED lighting.

The update of stock Intel CPU coolers is primarily due to the incompatibility of the old cooling systems and the LGA1700 platform. As you know, the release of the first 12th generation Core chips was accompanied by the release of new mounting kits from most major CO manufacturers.

The official announcement of the 12th Gen 65W Core processors will take place on January 4th at CES 2022. Intel’s H670, B660, and H610 chipsets will be unveiled alongside them.
