They may be delayed.

According to the latest data, the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max smartphones could be in short supply this fall as Apple struggles with manufacturing issues.

Apple and its suppliers are having trouble implementing a “new manufacturing process” that will allow the upcoming iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max to have larger screens than previous smartphones, The Information reported, citing two people familiar with the situation.

The manufacturing process allows Apple to build iPhones with larger screens without making the device bigger. One source told the publication that LG Display screens did not pass reliability tests during production.

iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max are facing manufacturing issues due to Apple’s decision to enlarge their screens.

These issues could force Apple to release its iPhone Pro 15 and Pro Max in smaller numbers than expected, which could make it harder to find top models ahead of the important holiday season. It is reported that, production problems will especially affect the Pro Max model, the shortage of which will be more serious.

The smartphones are expected to feature a USB-C port for charging and data transfer, as well as longer battery life and better performance than previous versions.
