Only the iPhone 15 Ultra will have a periscope this year
According to current rumors and leaks, in the new iPhone 15 line, only the oldest model, which has recently been increasingly called the iPhone 15 Ultra, will receive a periscope camera module. New data suggests that in the iPhone 16 lineup, both older models will offer this feature.
The Elec resource says that for the iPhone 15 Ultra, the corresponding module will be produced by LG Innotek and Jahwa Electronics, with the former accounting for 70% of shipments. In 2024, such modules will be installed on both the iPhone 16 Pro and the iPhone 16 Ultra (or 16 Pro Max). Thus, this year the older novelties will differ more among themselves in terms of cameras than the solutions of the 2024 model year. Among other things, this will allow users who are used to buying smaller iPhone Pros due to their more compact size to get a periscope camera
