Verified whistleblower Digital Chat Station has posted a photo showing what is supposedly the Xiaomi Mix 5 flagship smartphone. However, it is actually the previously released Red Magic 8 Pro. Just an insider tired of constant questions about Xiaomi Mix 5.

Initially, Xiaomi Mix 5 was planned to launch in 2022, but for as yet unknown reasons, it was canceled. The fake photo indicates that the smartphone will be equipped with a 6.73-inch display with a resolution of 3200 x 1440 pixels.

According to rumors, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC can act as a single-chip system, which will be complemented by 12 GB of RAM (+3 GB of virtual memory) and 256 GB of internal memory in the base version. The device will be equipped with a 4820 mAh battery. Xiaomi MIX 5 may run MIUI 14 based on Android 13 operating system.

Xiaomi MIX 5 was said to support 200W fast charging. The front camera will be sub-screen.
