The company itself said that in the German division of Amazon alone, it received almost 20,000 pre-orders for the RTX 3080. Of course, Zotac did not have that many cards, but, unfortunately, the company does not specify how much it was able to ship. There is a suspicion that this figure is less than an order of magnitude. Zotac has already apologized for not being able to ship the pre-ordered adapters on short notice.
It should be emphasized that we are talking only about one manufacturer, one country, and one, albeit huge, store. That is, the scale of the global deficit is probably in the millions or tens of millions of video cards that could have been purchased, but this did not happen. And it is still completely unclear when Nvidia will be able to meet this demand.
