Kerbal Space Program 2 will not be released in the fall of 2021 – the game was postponed for the second time

We will remind, initially, the premiere of Kerbal Space Program 2 was expected in the spring of this year, but in May the developers were forced to postpone the release until the fall of 2021 due to complications caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Now, according to Simpson, Kerbal Space Program 2 is slated for release in 2022. According to the latest financial report from Take-Two Interactive, the game will not be available until April.

“We knew we were taking on an enormous technical and creative challenge when we started this project. Repeatedly we have heard from the audience that quality is above all, and we also think so, ”said Simpson.

The head assured that the development of Kerbal Space Program 2 is proceeding by leaps and bounds, but it takes time to implement all the team’s ideas: “Adding new functions is not enough – you need to weave them into a stable and shiny whole

Simpson added that he regrets the amount of information about the game, which the team has to keep secret but promised to share more screenshots, video reviews (the next one will be released in winter), and development diaries.

Kerbal Space Program 2 was announced in August 2019 for PC (Steam), PS4, and Xbox One. At that time, Star Theory was involved in the creation of the project, but in February 2020, the team was transferred to the newly established studio Intercept Games.
