Take-Two Interactive is discussing the acquisition of the entire share capital of Codemasters for € 740 million (RUB 68.1 billion). The developer of the DiRT, GRID and F1 series said that if it comes to an official proposal, the board of directors intends to unanimously recommend to shareholders to accept it.

Codemasters also recently acquired the rights to the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) and in 2019 acquired Slightly Mad Studios, developer of the Project CARS series and Fast & Furious Crossroads.

As a reminder, Take-Two Interactive is the owner of 2K and Rockstar Games. The publisher is committed to providing autonomy to its subsidiaries, the most recent example being the Private Division. The division has been helping develop and release independent games since 2017.

It is noteworthy that now the shares of Codemasters are at the highest level in the last 2 years.
