Konami denies any involvement in the deletion of a teaser interview for a new game from the composer of Silent Hill

Japanese publisher Konami, at the request of the Video Games Chronicle, commented on the deletion of the Al Hub video with an interview with the composer of The Medium and games of the Silent Hill horror series Akira Yamaoka.

Recall that in the coveted video, Yamaoka mentioned that he was participating in creating a particular project, which should be presented in the summer of this year. Also, the musician believes that the fan community hopes to hear about the game.

Taking into account the experience of Yamaoka, fans immediately suggested that it was about a “soft” restart of Silent Hill, rumors about which were actively circulated by insiders throughout 2020.

Therefore, when Al Hub admitted that the said video was asked to be removed (who is still unknown), all suspicions fell on Konami. The Japanese publishing house, however, denies any involvement in the incident.

An unnamed Konami spokesman said in a statement released to the Video Games Chronicle that the company “did not ask Al Hub to remove the interview from publication

Konami has previously denied information about Silent Hill’s promised revival in collaboration with Sony Interactive Entertainment, but this did not dampen the flow of rumors.

In December 2020, Keiichiro Toyama, who was also associated with Silent Hill’s soft restart, founded his own studio. Her debut project is an action-adventure game with horror elements for PC and consoles.
