Lasers and pirates: the authors of Everspace 2 showed the gameplay of the space shooter
At Gamescom 2020, Rockfish Games presented a trailer for the gameplay of space shooter Everspace 2 and an eight-minute video, in which it showed a free view, customizing the appearance of the cockpit and an inertial damper switch for more realistic flight.
Everspace 2 is a single-player open-world space shooter with RPG elements. You have to go in search of treasures, reveal the secrets of the universe, and fight pirates. The game will have a wide arsenal of weapons and a large selection of the main components of the ship, including various compartments and devices. Thus, you can have several starships in your collection for different tasks.
The developer also confirmed that in addition to handcrafted locations and a few procedurally generated areas, the early access version will feature a Union space trade center. In addition, the Oscar faction (a race of reptiles) from the first Everspace will return.
The Early Access version of Everspace 2 will go on sale on PC in December 2020. The game will also be released on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, but a console release date has yet to be announced.
