Along with the long-suffering zombie action game Dambuster Studios, MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries, Borderlands 3, and Watch Dogs: Legion, which had not yet been released at that time, are listed as EGS exclusives (full-fledged or temporary).
There is also an unknown game in the Saints Row series in one category with the listed projects. Considering that we are talking about August 2019, this may mean both the new part of the franchise and much closer to the release of Saints Row: The Third Remastered.
Recall that Dead Island 2 was introduced back in June 2014 and has managed to change several development studios – the project was entrusted to Dambuster Studios in August 2019.
Dead Island 2 was originally announced for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Subsequently, users found indirect confirmation that the game will appear on the new generation consoles and bypass the previous cycle consoles.
Official news about Dead Island 2 itself, and not about its developers, has not been heard for several years. In December 2020, Deep Silver confirmed plans for the project’s release but did not go into details.
