Leica SL2-S camera for $ 4895 supports 4K / 60p video recording
Leica has unveiled the premium SL2-S, a new full-frame L-mount model that claims to be suitable for both discerning photographers and videographers. Receiving orders for the device has already begun.
The camera is equipped with a CMOS sensor (36 × 24 mm) with 24 million effective pixels. The high-performance Maestro III processor is responsible for information processing. There is built-in 5-axis image stabilization that can compensate up to 5.5 stops of exposure, so users can create clear photos in a variety of conditions.
The maximum image resolution is 6000 × 4000 dots. Video footage is recorded in 4K format (4096 × 2160 or 3840 × 2160 pixels) at 60, 50, 30, 25 or 24 frames per second.

The novelty is enclosed in an all-metal housing made of aluminium and magnesium, which has IP54 protection against splashes. Dimensions are 146 × 107 × 83 mm, weight is approximately 930 g including battery. The charge of the latter is enough to receive 510 shots.
The Leica SL2-S is available for an estimated price of $ 4,895.
