Linksys E9450 Mesh Router Introduced
Linksys has announced the E9450, a high-bandwidth Wi-Fi router designed for home and office use.
The solution complies with the Wi-Fi 6, or IEEE 802.11ax standard. Of course, other specifications are supported, in particular, IEEE 802.11ac / a / b / g / n.
The device is capable of operating in two frequency bands – 5 and 2.4 GHz. In the first case, the data transfer rate can reach 4800 Mbit / s, in the second – 600 Mbit / s.
The router carries onboard a processor with three computing cores, clocked at up to 1.5 GHz. The equipment includes 512 MB of RAM and 256 MB of flash memory.
MU-MIMO and OFDMA technologies have been implemented. The router is suitable for use in mesh (Mesh) networks, designed to provide coverage of large areas.
The design provides for the presence of four internal antennas. The device has four Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports and one Gigabit Ethernet WAN port. Besides, a USB 3.0 connector is provided. Dimensions are 156 × 60 × 222 mm.
The Linksys E9450 is priced at approximately $167.28.
