The Grand Vitara Maruti’s latest flagship SUV will be offered in India with two engine options. It will get a 1.5-liter petrol engine with strong hybrid technology, which will be paired with the e-CVT.

India’s largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki has recently unveiled the all-new Grand Vitara SUV. The 2022 Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara is the new flagship SUV in the company’s portfolio. Also, the company claims that it will give 27.97 km, making it the most fuel-efficient SUV in the country.

Maruti’s latest flagship SUV will be offered in India with two engine options. It will get a 1.5-liter petrol engine with strong hybrid technology, which will be paired with the e-CVT. This is the same powertrain that will also be seen in the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hider.

Powerful Hoga Engine
The 1.5-litre petrol hybrid engine produces 91 Bhp and 122 Nm of torque, while the electric motor makes 79 Bhp and 141 Nm. The combined output of this powertrain is rated at 114 Bhp. The second engine will be Maruti’s 1.5-litre mild-hybrid petrol unit that will develop 101 bhp and 136.8 Nm of peak torque. This engine will come with a 5-speed manual gearbox and a 6-speed AT. Apart from this, the manual variant will also get an optional AWD system.

Talking about features
the Grand Vitara will get a 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Suzuki’s Connected Car technology, a panoramic sunroof, digital instrument cluster, ventilated front seats, a 360-degree parking camera, and six airbags will be seen. Bookings for the SUV have already started while the official launch is likely to take place in September this year. Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara will compete with Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos.
