Recall that the Mass Effect Legendary Edition includes the single-player campaigns of the first three Mass Effect games and over 40 downloadable materials for them – from sets of armor and weapons to story additions.

Rebuilding the iconic trilogy for modern systems is much more time-consuming than people imagine, and developers had to prioritize, Meek said.

Specifically, the network component of Mass Effect 3, its integration into the collection would be too difficult for BioWare: the team would have to work through numerous online systems and revise the economy.

In addition, several important questions remained unresolved: “Add post-release support? What about the people who play multiplayer to this day? Find a way to integrate crossplay between PS3 and PS4? “

As a result, the team decided not to waste time and energy on multiplayer. At least Mick has no regrets about what he did, “I’m firmly convinced that we chose the things that most fans would like to see [in the compilation]

As it became known yesterday, Mass Effect Legendary Edition will go on sale on May 14 this year for PC (Steam, Origin), PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Pre-orders have already started.
