Megapixels don’t always decide: Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro 5G didn’t impress DxOMark specialists

DxOMark specialists tested the camera of the Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro 5G smartphone and came to the conclusion that, despite the abundance of sensors, the quality is more in line with the old models, and not the current flagship devices. The Mi 10T Pro is further proof that many megapixels are not equal to excellent photo quality.

Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro

The device scored 118 points overall, ranking between the iPhone 11, which has only 12MP sensors, and the OnePlus 8 Pro with a 48MP main sensor. Recall that the resolution of the main sensor of the Mi 10T Pro is 108 megapixels. It is worth noting that the same flagship Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra is located even lower in the list with a score of 117 points. And the Huawei Mate 40 Pro + tops the rating with a score of 139 points.

Among the advantages of the Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro camera, DxOMark specialists noted the correct exposure and white balance when shooting both outdoors and indoors, effective stabilization during video recording, good dynamic range and natural skin tones. The main disadvantages of the smartphone camera are the low detail of the images taken by the ultra-wide-angle camera, the incorrect estimation of the focal length and the limited dynamic range when recording video.

Hopefully, the 108MP sensor that the upcoming flagship Xiaomi Mi 11 will receive will be better than the one used in the Mi 10T Pro.
