Strictly speaking, the electric version of the Citan van next year will be exactly the all-metal version of the EQT for the commercial market. The version of the minivan for private customers will appear later. However, it is precisely its features that are used by the manufacturer when describing the new item. An electric car with overall dimensions of 4945 × 1863 × 1826 mm is equipped with two sliding doors on both sides of the body, the second row of seats allows you to install three child seats and two separate third-row seats, if necessary, to transport oversized loads, can be completely dismantled. The EQT concept car hides an electric longboard under the luggage compartment floor, but it’s hard to say with certainty whether this option will remain in the production version.

Technical characteristics of the passenger version of the EQT and the ability to accommodate seven people while hiding. The stock MUBX infotainment system can be equipped with a voice control function; touch control buttons are not only on the center display but also on the steering wheel spokes. The software will be updated over the air.

As explained by representatives of Mercedes-Benz, next year, the brand will produce eight models of electric vehicles on three continents. The EQT models will compete with a new interpretation of the legendary Volkswagen minivan, which will move to an electric platform in 2023.
