Microsoft Build conference will be held online from May 25 to May 27
Microsoft has updated its web page for upcoming events to include information on the annual Build 2021 developer conference. According to the released data, this year’s conference will be held as a virtual event from May 25-27. Thus, the Microsoft Build developer conference will be held online for the second year in a row.
The website dedicated to the event has not yet been updated, so it still contains information about last year’s conference. Recall that the annual Microsoft Build event is primarily aimed at developers, and usually, during the conference, upcoming changes in Windows, Office, and other Microsoft products are demonstrated.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, Microsoft Build 2020 also took place online and was available for free to everyone. The reports of the participants were broadcast in real-time so that all interested people could watch them. At last year’s conference, Microsoft unveiled new products such as the Fluid Framework and Project Reunion.
The reason why the Build 2021 conference was moved to the virtual space also lies in the coronavirus pandemic, the negative impact of which in the United States has not yet been mitigated. Even though roughly 30% of the U.S. population has received at least one dose of the coronavirus vaccine, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention still advises people to avoid public events.
