Release expected by the end of summer 2023
Microsoft has announced that its proprietary Edge for Business browser has become available in closed preview mode for testing among selected customers.
As Microsoft explained, the Microsoft Edge for Business browser “automatically separates work and personal spaces into separate browser windows with separate favorites, cache, and storage.”
Microsoft Edge for Business has begun testing
Not all features are yet available in an early test build of Microsoft Edge for Business, in particular, custom features for corporate branding have not yet been added.
Automatic switching between work and personal browsing sessions is provided. For example, Amazon, BestBuy, Target, and Walmart online stores will support automatic switching to a personal browsing session. Conversely, work-related sites such as Microsoft 365 and other services will automatically open in your work browsing session.
Microsoft Edge for Business is expected to be released by the end of summer 2023.
