Microsoft Flight Simulator Coming To Xbox Series X & S Instead Of Xbox One In Summer

Microsoft has announced that Microsoft Flight Simulator will be coming to Xbox Series X and S next summer. Apparently, the Xbox One version was cancelled – but this is the right decision given the situation with Cyberpunk 2077.

The Flight Simulator series began back in 1982. Almost four decades later, it has 14 parts, the last of which is called Microsoft Flight Simulator and was released on PC on August 18, 2020. It is also the first game in the series to be announced for the Xbox One console. However, Microsoft decided to change its plans and instead of releasing the project on a system of the previous generation, where it would have to make many compromises, announced the creation of a version for the Xbox Series X and S.

In Microsoft Flight Simulator, you can fly realistic flights of varying difficulty and test your piloting skills in different weather conditions, taking into account wind speed and direction, temperature, humidity, rainfall and lighting. The game has a detailed copy of the Earth, created on the basis of satellite data. It contains over 37 thousand airports, 2 million cities, 1.5 billion buildings, mountains, roads and other elements. The quality of all aspects of the game will continue to improve as Microsoft plans to continue releasing free World Updates (two of them – dedicated to the US and Japan – are out now).
