Microsoft Flight Simulator development manager rejects speculation about canceling Xbox One version

Flight simulator Microsoft Flight Simulator still did not come out on the Xbox One. Neither Microsoft nor Asobo Studio has shown this version of the project yet, and fans are afraid it will be abandoned. The development manager commented on these speculations.

Speaking to Eurogamer, Microsoft Flight Simulator development manager Jorg Neumann admitted that it would be difficult to launch the Xbox One game. However, Microsoft has yet to completely exclude the legacy console version from plans, even though the project has already been announced for the Xbox Series X and S.

“I think it’s a matter of time,” Neumann said. –  Of course, memory is of great importance. For ultra settings, you need a powerful PC that has much more storage than the Xbox One. It’s a journey like most things – let’s do the Xbox Series X and S versions and then decide what to do after that. We are not giving up on [Xbox One], there are other options, although it is too early to talk about it

Considering how technically impressive and demanding Microsoft Flight Simulator is, developers will have to make big sacrifices for the Xbox One version. It will be interesting to see how Asobo Studio overcomes this challenge.

Microsoft Flight Simulator is currently playable on PC and is expected to be released on Xbox Series X and S this summer.
