Microsoft Flight Simulator has fixed a number of game installation issues

The developers of the civil aviation simulator Microsoft Flight Simulator from Asobo Studio have released a patch that removed freezes and fixed several minor problems with the stability of the project. Engadget writes about it.

According to the update description, a whole list of problems was fixed:

  • hangs during installation after partial unpacking of files;
  • installation error if the user account contains characters not from the ASCII table;
  • installation error on unsuccessful connection to servers;
  • error with displaying a blank screen.

In addition, Asobo Studio has fixed a number of file upload issues and improved performance. Correcting such errors is especially important given the size of the application – 150 GB. According to the Microsoft forum, a lot of people have faced these troubles. For example, Engadget editor Richard Lawler, who was unable to install the simulator due to a corrupted data packet. In such cases, the developers recommend deleting all files and starting the process again.

Microsoft Flight Simulator was released on August 18 for PC. The game received rave reviews from the press and scored 92 points on Metacritic.
