This is part of the promotional campaign for the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie.
It’s likely that most Xbox controllers give off some “flavor” after a few hours of play, but Microsoft decided to go further. The company has created a gamepad that should smell like pizza from the start.
The company’s official blog says:
The World’s First Pizza Smell Controller is part of the marketing campaign for the upcoming movie Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Defeat.
The stylized TMNT (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem) controllers received a special pizza slice-shaped aroma diffuser that attaches to the back. In total, there are four design options in the style of Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello and Michelangelo.

In honor of the release of the film in August 2023, the company will raffle controllers among users. The draw will run from July 24 to August 13, 2023. To enter the giveaway, you must follow your XboxGamePass Twitter account and retweet the original post about the controllers.
