Microsoft has stopped necessarily slowing down Windows 10 PCs

We are talking about the mandatory update Windows 10 KB4559309, which automatically installed a new version of the proprietary Edge browser based on the Chromium engine.

Users have been complaining about performance problems and other nasty “surprises” after installing the update for several months. In this case, the update was carried out automatically, without fail and without additional actions from the user.

According to user posts on forums and social media, after installing Windows 10 update KB4559309, some computers start slower to boot. For others, the update led to a general slowdown in the system and the appearance of noticeable delays when loading applications, switching between applications, as well as a decrease in the frequency of f / s in games. Some users also complain about problems with booting or booting only in safe mode.

Microsoft has now stopped distributing this update and replaced it with an update called KB4576754. The new update is also mandatory, automatic, and “forcibly” replacing the old Edge with the new one.
