Sony has been offering panels for the PlayStation 5 for quite some time, but Microsoft has implemented them differently
Microsoft announced the launch of overlay panels for the Xbox Series X game console. One of the first panels will be a set in the style of the Starfield game.
It will go on sale October 18, 2023 for $50. In addition to the Starfield panels, camo panels will be offered to users starting November 10 for $45.
Microsoft introduced replacement panels for the Xbox console
Xbox panels from Microsoft are not stickers that you can buy from third-party brands. Rather, they are plastic pads that are attached to the console, creating something like a case. They also differ from the full detachable side panels that Sony offers for the PlayStation 5.
This is the first time Microsoft has offered custom panels since the Xbox 360. In recent years, Microsoft has focused on special editions and editions of the Xbox One and Xbox Series S/X consoles. Buying a panel will cost significantly less compared to a special version of the console.
