The latest version of the mobile application learned how to convert images to text, recognize tables, scan business cards, add data from them to the contact list, and scan QR codes. It is worth noting that the application can recognize even handwritten text, converting it into a document suitable for further work. Besides, Microsoft Lens has acquired the ability to edit PDFs and scan documents up to 100 pages. The application also has a convenient search that works with both the cloud and the built-in storage of the device.

Microsoft has said the updated Lens app would be available on Android and iOS platforms in the coming months. With this update, it is getting closer in functionality to the popular Google Lens. Besides, Microsoft Lens will be appreciated by users who use other company services such as Office and Teams, Outlook, and OneDrive due to their deep collaborative integration.
