In the future, the Transform to Net Zero group plans to expand its membership at the expense of other companies, as well as to cooperate with the Environmental Protection Fund (EDF), a non-profit environmental protection group. She plans to provide methodological assistance, as well as assistance in research and development of projects for enterprises with the aim of achieving zero carbon emissions no later than 2050.

The Transform to Net Zero announcement does not disclose any investments to be made by the companies, but only indicates initial research and other work planned for the next five years.

The current alliance also includes French food group Danone SA, German car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz AG, sea freight and port terminal services company AP Moller-Maersk A / S from Denmark, Indian technology firm Wipro Ltd and Brazilian cosmetics manufacturer Natura & Co.

Recall that in January of this year, Microsoft announced its intention to achieve a negative level of carbon emissions by 2030, and by 2050 to completely eliminate the harmful consequences of its 45-year existence (meaning the consequences related to emissions into the atmosphere).
