The best development results were shown by the gaming division, whose turnover increased by $ 1.3 billion (or 64%). A large share came from Xbox content and services, which accounted for $ 1.2 billion. According to the report, during the pandemic, the activity of players in titles from third-party studios increased.

The company also noted that the activity of small and medium-sized businesses slowed down amid the pandemic. In addition, the subsidiary service LinkedIn recorded a decline in the labor market and a decrease in advertising costs. At the same time, the demand for homeschooling, products for work, and entertainment at home have increased.

Microsoft previously revealed future changes to the interface of the Office suite. The company plans to continue to streamline its applications. The developers promise to remove the color integration of the brand from the headlines and introduce adaptive management. The dates of the upcoming changes have not yet been announced.
