But activation by “word” will be returned in the future
Microsoft continues to work on Cortana’s proprietary voice assistant for the Windows 10 operating system.
Microsoft temporarily cut the functionality of future Windows 10. Cortana stopped responding to voice
The next major Windows 10 May 2020 Update, also known as 2004 and codenamed 20H1, will receive new features and a redesigned Cortana voice assistant interface.
And now, in the latest beta version of Cortana (2.2004.22762.0), the application has lost the ability to respond to the “alarm phase”. The Italian thematic resource HTNovo drew attention to this.
In the description of the update, it is noted that the call to Cortana by the phrase-activator is temporarily unavailable, but will appear again in a future update.
Note that the release of the May update of Windows 10 was postponed. This is due to the fact that Microsoft discovered a zero-day vulnerability in the security system and wanted to fix it before the release of Windows 10 May 2020. As a result, for ordinary users, the update will only be available on May 28.
