Microsoft unveils new webcam and wired speaker for remote work
Microsoft today announced the new Surface Laptop 4 based on Intel and AMD processors. At the same time, accessories were presented to make remote work more comfortable. We’re talking about a webcam and speaker from the Microsoft Modern series that will come in handy for people who work and study from home.
The new Microsoft Modern Webcam is a fairly simple device capable of recording Full HD (1080p) video at 30 frames per second. It is suggested to use the USB Type-A interface to connect the camera, not USB Type-C.
The device cannot record 4K video like the Surface Hub 2 camera and does not support Windows Hello. This is a simple webcam designed to improve the quality of video calls on a laptop or computer. The device is designed with a protective shutter and a special indicator that shows when the camera is working.
Another novelty is the Microsoft Modern USB-C Speaker, which is primarily intended for use in conjunction with the Microsoft Teams service. The design even has a dedicated button to launch the Teams dashboard quickly. Buttons are provided to adjust the volume, mute and unmute the microphone, start and end a call. The design uses omnidirectional microphones, as well as noise cancellation and sound quality enhancement technologies. Although the speaker is designed for online conversations, it is wonderful for listening to music or watching videos.
The new Modern Webcam and Modern USB-C Speaker will sell this June for $ 69.99 and $ 99.99, respectively.
