Microsoft will end support for Windows 10 (1909) this May
Microsoft has begun to warn users of Windows 10 (1909) or Windows 10 November 2019 Update about the imminent end of the support period for this version of the operating system. The corresponding notification started to appear in the taskbar. It says support for Windows 10 (1909) will end on May 11, 2021.
Obviously, as the end of the support date approaches, the developers try to nudge users to move to more current versions of the platform. The new notification is one of the steps in this direction. “ Your version of Windows 10 will be out of service soon. Click on this message to download a newer version of Windows 10 and continue to receive support, ”reads a notice that was shown to Windows 10 (1909) users.
The source notes that in some cases, an attempt to download a new version of the OS does not give the desired result because after clicking on the notification, nothing happens. This is probably since installing the latest versions of the software platform is still blocked for some device configurations due to compatibility issues. Microsoft representatives have not yet commented on this issue.
To install the current Windows 10, the source recommends using the Update Assistant tool, which will help you download the full Windows 10 20H2 update package and install it. Also, the Media Creation Tool or the operating system’s ISO image can be used for this.
