Microsoft Cloud PC service is based on Azure technologies
Microsoft plans to launch in 2021 a new cloud service called Microsoft Cloud PC, based on Azure technologies.
Microsoft will launch virtual Windows for computers in 2021
The authoritative resource ZDNet told about it. He drew attention to the job description of the Microsoft Cloud PC project manager on the official Microsoft website.
According to the description, Cloud PC is a new “strategic” offering based on Windows Virtual Desktop and will provide enterprise users with a “Desktop as a Service” concept.
Apparently, within the Cloud PC, users will be able to get virtual access to Microsoft 365 applications. As noted by ZDNet, the service will not replace the locally installed Windows OS and Office suite, at least for the foreseeable future. Instead, Cloud PC will become an option for those who want to use their own PC from Microsoft or another manufacturer, in fact, as a “thin client” with virtual Windows, Office and other Microsoft software.
The service will be provided at a fixed price per user. However, the exact prices are not yet called.
