The server shutdown is scheduled for December 31 of this year. The corresponding warning appeared only on the pages of the game on Steam and PlayStation Store, but the changes are likely to affect all versions.

So, on the specified day, buyers of Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor will no longer be able to transfer their sworn enemies to Middle-earth: Shadow of War – the “Forge of Sworn Enemies” will be abolished.

In addition, access to Vendetta Missions, Leaderboards, and the WBPlay account is expected to be closed. At the same time, the legendary “Orc Hunter” and “Gravewalker” runes will automatically be awarded to all players.

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor was released in October 2014 on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, and a month later it reached the previous generation consoles – PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

It is noteworthy that at the time of publication of the material, Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor is on sale on PC and PS4 at a discount: on Steam – until tonight, and on the PS Store – until November 12.

The sequel to Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor – Middle-Earth: Shadow of War – the shutdown of online functions is not yet threatened: recently it became known that the game will be part of the November selection for PlayStation Plus subscribers.
