The developers of the Midjourney neural network told how work on new versions is progressing and what users should expect.
Midjourney 5.3 introduces an improved Inpainting feature that allows you to fill in gaps or missing areas in an image. A new style (aesthetic) is also expected. These innovations will appear within two weeks.
The developers have a pre-release version of Midjourney 6.0, which will offer more visual variety. They are working on making Midjourney 6 “more responsive to text”.

Work is underway on a new website. Developers discuss how much content to add and how much to change the main page. A native app for iOS is in testing, a non-native app for Android is on the way. Website generation will also work on mobile devices.
Developers are increasing the capacity of data centers, installing new computers to make image generation even faster.
Already now you can try the Turbo mode, which works 4 times faster. To switch to this mode, add –turbo or /turbo to the command line.
