The BCN Ranking website, which collects data on electronics sales in Japan, claims that in March, sales of mirrorless cameras with interchangeable lenses amounted to only 49.5% of the level for March 2019. At the same time, in January, an indicator of 90.1% was recorded, and in February – 76.5%, that is, the decline is rapidly increasing. Report authors attribute this to the spread of coronavirus.
