The revived Moskvich plant celebrates its first birthday. Production of the Moskvich 3 urban crossover started exactly a year ago.
Oleg Maslyakov, director of production at the Moskvich automobile plant, spoke about this year’s achievements and plans for the future. He confirmed that the full cycle is planned to be launched in 2024, and the level of localization will increase significantly.
According to Oleg Maslyakov, the company plans to export its cars in the future.
“We have such plans, but at the moment we are focused on developing the Russian market. After the main stages of forming a dealer network and setting up production are completed, the issue of export will be considered,” he said.

Now the Moskvich plant produces the Moskvich 3 crossover, the Moskvich 3e electric car and the Moskvich 6 sedan.
Moskvich plans to increase production in parallel with the development of sales and expansion of the dealer network. The target for next year is 50 thousand cars .
Today it also became known that the Russian family crossover “Moskvich 8” – the largest in the brand’s line – will be presented in 2024.
