The Russian automobile plant Moskvich is considering the possibility of producing hybrid cars. The plant’s production director, Oleg Maslyakov, mentioned this at the Russian Industrialist forum. According to him, the car plant’s specialists are studying hybrid technologies very carefully. From conversations with Chinese partners, it became clear that the trend for electric vehicles is declining and more and more options for hybrid vehicles are appearing.

According to Maslyakov, Moskvich is considering the option of producing hybrid cars with an increased range: they will be able to travel up to 2 thousand km without the need for recharging. Judging by the presentation of the plant, plans to produce such cars are planned for the next few years – until 2027. As we already wrote , Maslyakov confirmed that a decision had been made to produce charging stations for electric vehicles at the car plant.
