NVIDIA Releases GeForce 466.27 Driver For Resident Evil Village, Improved Metro Exodus And Mass Effect Remasters
NVIDIA introduced the GeForce 466.27 driver as part of the Game Ready program. Its main purpose is to support the new Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition, Mass Effect Legendary Edition, and Resident Evil Village. But there are other pleasant innovations as well.
Metro Exodus was one of the first games to use hardware ray tracing effects and DLSS smart scaling technology. Already on May 6, 4A Games studio will release Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition, which will offer additional ray tracing effects on the PC and support for the more advanced DLSS 2.1 technology. The game will add ray-traced global illumination and local illumination, previously used only in the “Two Colonels” add-on.
In addition, as already noted, the new driver includes support for two other long-awaited games: the Mass Effect Legendary Edition ( May 14 ) and the horror film Resident Evil Village ( May 7 ).
In addition, the GeForce 466.27 brings support for five new G-Sync certified displays:
- AOC 24G2W1G8 (24.5 inches) – HDR, IPS, 1920 × 1080, 48-240 Hz;
- AOC AG274US4R6B (27) – HDR, IPS, 3840 × 2160, 48-144 Hz;
- ASUS XG349C (34) – HDR, IPS, 3440 × 1440, 48-144 Hz;
- Philips 279M1RV (27) – HDR, IPS, 3840 × 2160, 48-144 Hz;
- Samsung LC27G50A (27) – HDR, IPS, 2560 × 1440, 48-165 Hz.In addition, the GeForce Experience utility learned, based on the analysis of the system, to automatically set the optimal settings in two more games (there are over 1000 of them): Iron Conflict and Teamfight Manager. It should be noted that the driver brought support for the DirectX 12 Agility SDK and updated the mining limiter for the GeForce RTX 3060. This release will be required for new products scheduled to launch in mid-May 2021 ( new hardware revision of the GeForce RTX 3060 ).
NVIDIA also fixed performance issues with Reflex technology in Rainbow Six Siege; removed the frame rate limiter when connected via HDMI 2.1, which was active even when vertical sync was turned off; solved the problem with the Rigid Gems and Prepar3D applications.
Download NVIDIA GeForce Game Ready 466.27 WHQL for notebook and desktop versions with 64-bit Windows 10 through the GeForce Experience app or the NVIDIA website. The driver is dated April 29 and supports video cards of the GeForce 600 family and above.
