MSI unveils GF65 Thin gaming laptop with GeForce RTX 3060 Max-Q graphics

Micro-Star International, without waiting for the official announcement of NVIDIA, was the first among manufacturers to officially present a gaming laptop, which uses the GeForce RTX 30 series graphics accelerator. The novelty joined the ranks of the MSI GF65 Thin series of gaming systems and has already appeared on the manufacturer’s website.

In particular, it is indicated that the GF65 Thin model will be equipped with a GeForce RTX 3060 Max-Q graphics accelerator with 6 GB of GDDR6 video memory. The rest of the laptop has not undergone any other significant changes.

Portable gaming system still poised to offer Comet Lake-H Gen Intel Core i7-10750H processor 2.6GHz to 5.0GHz, 15.6 ” IPS Full HD, 144Hz refresh rate, up to 16 GB of DDR4-3200 MHz RAM, as well as the installation of two NVMe drives with a total volume of up to 2 TB.

The laptop is equipped with two USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-C connectors, two USB 3.2 Gen1, one HDMI and one combined audio jack for headphones and a microphone. The novelty offers support for wireless communication standards Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1 and is also equipped with two 2 W speakers with support for Nahimic sound technology. In stand-alone mode, the system is powered by a 51 Wh battery.

Typically MSI GF65 Series laptop prices range from $ 900 to $ 1,300 depending on the selected system configuration. Unfortunately, the manufacturer has not yet indicated the cost of the option with the GeForce RTX 3060 Max-Q graphics accelerator. Recall that the announcement of new NVIDIA mobile video cards will take place on January 12.
