My Father My Son is a story-driven puzzle game inspired by Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons
Polish studio Blinkclick Games has announced My Father My Son, a story-driven puzzle platformer in the spirit of Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons. The project will tell the story of a father and son who ended up on a desert island as a result of a shipwreck. Together they will have to cope with many dangers in order to survive and escape.
My Father My Son can be played alone or in co-op (behind one screen or over the Web). Each of the characters in the game has its own characteristics: the father is stronger and can, if necessary, knock down doors or move a heavy object, and the son relies on agility and mobility, so he will climb into hard-to-reach places.
The puzzles in My Father My Son are based on interactions between characters and the environment. In the first trailer of the project, the developers showed several tests in which users will have to participate. For example, after a shipwreck, a father must give his son an indirect heart massage.
Other features of My Father My Son include a gamepad or keyboard controls, a pseudo-3D world, low-poly graphics, and a story that will showcase the development of relationships between characters.
Blinkclick Games is due out on PC in 2022, before reaching PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Series S.
