The code name of the novelty is Project DRFXI

As soon as we managed to get acquainted with the tests of the unique Ryzen 9 7945HX3D mobile processor , which is available in only one Asus laptop model, it became clear that this CPU would soon cease to be an Asus exclusive. At least it will appear in Minisforum mini-PC.

At the Xiamen HighFun Event, the company showed a prototype PC codenamed Project RPFXI or Project DRFXI, depending on the platform. In the first case, this is an Intel Raptor Lake CPU, and in the second, a representative of the AMD Dragon Range line. And we are talking about the 16-core Ryzen 9 7945HX3D. There will be some other configurations, but we are now interested in this one.

There are few details about the mini PC, but there is no room for a discrete graphics card in the six-liter case. But there is a place on the body. Probably, the necessary connector will be located there, and the user will be free to buy and install the 3D card he needs, which is very unusual. This option is much cheaper and easier than connecting an external video card, but the downside is that the graphics adapter will always be unprotected with such a connection.
