The first line of the rating, as usual, is Apple. The company sold 7.6 million hours, increasing the figure by 22.6% and occupying 55.5% of the market. In second place is Samsung, whose sales grew by only 11.8%, to 1.9 million devices.
Garmin closes the top three with a result of 1.1 million against 0.8 million a year earlier. At the same time, Garmin does not have real smartwatches with a full-fledged operating system, which must be taken into account.
Despite the market growth, analysts predict that due to the ongoing pandemic in the second quarter, the situation with smartwatches will not be so rosy.
