The team of the popular WhatsApp messenger has begun to introduce a useful innovation – the ability to send photos in HD quality. The HD photo transfer feature is currently available to beta testers of the WhatsApp app on iOS (version 23.11.0.76) and Android (version 2.23.12.13).

As noted by the thematic resource WABetaInfo, now the function is not even available to all beta testers, but will soon spread to a larger number of users.
Prior to this, WhatsApp would automatically compress the image and send it in SD (Standard) resolution, reducing the quality. Now the situation will change for the better. In essence, the new feature allows you to share high-quality photos while maintaining their original settings. When sending a photo, the user can select the HD quality option.
