Gerard Williams has worked on the Cortex-A8, A15 and other processor cores. He later served as Apple’s chief processor and chipset architect. He also leads major projects from Cyclone to Firestorm. This applies to Apple chips from the Apple A7 to the current Apple A14. He also played a role in the development of the Apple M1. Bruno and Gulati were on his team until 2017.

Nuvia’s employees and expertise will now be directly linked to Qualcomm and its processors. The new processors being developed by the company will be used in Qualcomm’s flagship SoCs for smartphones. However, they will also help the company enter the notebook SoC market. The trend started with the Apple M1 and will certainly continue to grow in the coming years. Nuvia will also be working on future automotive processors as Qualcomm invests in this segment as well.
