Intel is preparing to release the NUC 13 Rugged mini PC, which will replace the NUC 8 models that were released back in 2019.

Two models are being prepared that will be identical in their main characteristics for a PC, but will differ in appearance and in a number of features.

As you can see in the photo, there will be a version with a case that acts as a heatsink and external antennas, as well as a version where the antennas are inside. Both options will be passively cooled and offer protection from external influences. In particular, protection against dust (IP50) and the ability to work at temperatures up to 50 degrees. In addition, such PCs will be covered by a five-year warranty.

As for the characteristics, Intel Atom x7425E, Atom x7211E or Processor N50 processors will be the basis. There will also be up to 16 GB of RAM, 64 GB of eMMC memory soldered on the board, an M.2 2280 SSD slot, an M.2 3042 slot, two HDMI 2.1, RJ45 (2.5 Gb), Wi-Fi 6E, a slot for a SIM card , two USB 3.2 Gen2, two USB 2.0 and more. Dimensions will be 108 x 174 x 25.9-35.8 mm.
