NVIDIA DLSS support will allow F1 2020 to run on RTX 2060 Super at 4K and 60fps

The F1 2020 racing simulator was already running great on PC. Now, apparently, the game will be able to function even better on NVIDIA RTX graphics accelerators. Codemasters recently released another update for the game that added support for DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling) technology.

The F1 2020 does not require a high-end computer system and, with a few tweaks, can dramatically improve performance without sacrificing quality. But now, according to NVIDIA measurements, the GeForce RTX 2060 Super will be able to output an average of 62 frames per second at 4K resolution and at maximum settings with SSRT shadows enabled.

A GeForce RTX 2080 Ti delivers an average of 103 fps versus 69 fps in 4K mode at maximum quality settings – a very significant performance increase. While NVIDIA and Codemasters have not elaborated on this, it can be assumed that F1 2020 is using the latest DLSS 2.0. That is, owners of RTX graphics cards can expect the visual quality of intelligent scaling, close to the performance in full 4K resolution.

Such a patch hardly makes sense for owners of GeForce RTX 2080 Ti, but owners of weaker cards will certainly welcome DLSS support.
