NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti credited with the same GPU as the flagship RTX 3090, but with less memory

Many specialized resources have published information on the characteristics of the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti graphics accelerator, which in the current NVIDIA lineup is expected to be located one step below the flagship version of the GeForce RTX 3090.

Recall that the GeForce RTX 3090 video card with Ampere architecture operates with 10,496 CUDA cores, and the GDDR6X memory with a 384-bit bus is 24 GB. The base frequency of the core is 1.4 GHz, the turbo frequency is 1.7 GHz.

The GeForce RTX 3080 Ti, according to the published data, will be based on the GA102 GPU, made using 8-nanometer technology. The configuration, like the older brother, provides for the use of 10,496 CUDA cores.

In this case, the memory subsystem will be different. In particular, it is said about the use of 20 GB of GDDR6X memory with a 320-bit bus. The GeForce RTX 3090 has 24GB of the same memory with a 384-bit bus.

It is not yet clear when and at what price the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti graphics accelerator may go on sale.

Meanwhile, in the first days of December, NVIDIA, according to rumors, has outlined the announcement of the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti video card. Its supposed characteristics are as follows: 4864 CUDA cores, 152 Tensor cores, 38 RT cores, and 8GB of GDDR6 memory with a 256-bit bus.
