Grace CPU Superchip contains 144 cores
Nvidia has confidently established itself on the throne in the AI accelerator market, and now it is trying to prove that its processors are very good. New benchmarks released by the company show how its Grace CPU outperforms the competition’s best solutions.
In this case, Grace is compared to the 96-core AMD Epyc 9654 and the 56-core Xeon Platinum 8480+. The results are shown at the same power, which must be taken into account before drawing conclusions.
Nvidia is good not only in graphics cards and AI accelerators, but also in processors.
It is also worth noting that Nvidia compares the Grace CPU Superchip, that is, a system with two processors, to its competitors. In total, they contain 144 Neoverse N2 cores.
Of course, when it comes to server tasks, you need to understand that in different tasks the results can be radically different. And manufacturers always choose what is beneficial to showcase the best aspects of their products. However, in any case, Nvidia’s achievements cannot be underestimated.
