The company reported for the second quarter
Nvidia has announced record results for the second quarter of fiscal 2024.
Revenue for the year doubled (by 101%) to $13.51 billion. In quarterly terms, it grew by 88%.
Nvidia is tearing up the market.
Much more impressive is net income, which for the quarter was $6.188 billion, representing an increase of 843%! Operating profit grew even stronger: by 1263%, to 6.8 billion dollars.
However, almost all of these impressive numbers are driven primarily by the success of the Data Center division. Given the hype around generative AI and, as a result, around AI accelerators, this is not surprising. The division brought the company 10.3 billion dollars against 3.8 billion a year earlier. For comparison: the gaming direction earned 2.5 billion against 2 billion a year ago.
